Ron Clark is not your typical teacher. When he founded The Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, Georgia, he knew his school was going to be defined by innovative and passionate teaching. The educator, along with his colleagues, took traditional learning methods to the next level. At this school, it’s not uncommon for the faculty to break into hip hop or start dancing to explain a math equation. His method might seem unconventional but Clark says it’s a benefit for him as much as for his students. “Teachers should be happy. When you’re in a good mood, studies have shown the students are going to be more likely to remember and believe what you say,” explains Clark. He may not win an award for the best dancer but the school boasts high test scores and scholarships for the kids. I’m jealous I never had a teacher like this.
This math teacher joined his students for a jumpin’ dance party. Best. Class. Ever. (via INSIDER) Posted by Upworthy on Friday, February 12, 2016
