But there are also days when you feel moved to do something. Anything. Last week, I was having a rotten day and treated myself to a chocolate chip cookie from Starbucks. Afterwards, I passed a homeless man on the street who had been sitting there since the morning, maybe longer. I walked down the steps to catch my train. Right before I passed through the gates, I thought of the man and went back up.
