Rhinoceros get a bad rap for being aggressive and hot-headed. The horned animal is actually timid and curious, although very territorial. A baby rhino in Kruger National Park, South Africa may have been a little too possessive of his surroundings when he was chasing birds in the wildlife reserve. Rhinos are large in body with short, stubby legs but they can run anywhere from 30 to 40 miles per hour. Nonetheless, the calf was not fast enough to catch his feathered friends. The birds may be faster but they will have to learn to compromise to hang out in the same area, as rhinos have highly developed sense of smell and hearing and don’t give up easily. And by the looks of this baby rhino in the video, he is willing to spend the whole day pursuing the trespassers.
