For those having a winter wedding, consider a Christmas tree farm as the venue. Blogger Sarah Vickers and designer Kiel James Patrick wed at their favorite spot: Henry’s Christmas Tree Farm. The location has a lot of sentimental value for the newlyweds. When the couple began dating 15 years ago, they planted a tree at the Hope, Rhode Island nursery. They have made it a tradition of returning every year to pick their tree from the farm. Vickers and Patrick have shared photos on Instagram of their visit five years ago. Surrounded by hundreds of lush, evergreens decorated in simple but elegant Christmas lights, the setting could not be any more romantic. Patrick said, “in this here moment I was the happiest I had ever been in my entire life.” Christmas tree farms may start to see requests for couples wanting to have their weddings there.

In this here moment I was the happiest I had ever been in my entire life. I laughed and abruptly excused myself from the entire wedding to take a picture. A picture to always look back on and say “this is the me I always want to be.” Not for me but for her, because she deserves the happiest man I can be as a thank you to each and everyday that she is by my side for the rest of my life”. Present experiences and past memories continuously intertwine our souls into a great untanglable knot. At the end, what had happened was our life. Regardless of point, rhyme, or reason, we improved each other’s beings by creating and carrying on traditions together with each passing season. We hopped into our Jeep Wagoneer and drove back home to be with family and friends for apple pie, cake, moms gingerbread cookies, Christmas music, champagne and eggnog. It was the most perfect day and we both agreed that all the little things we already had was all we ever needed to live happily ever after.
