Waking up in the morning is hard to do. Leaving the warmth comfort of our bed to start the daily grind of work or school is no easy task. Simone Giertz decided her original alarm clock was not making her rise in the morning fast and easy. The robot enthusiast created *The Wake-up Machine*. Some of the items the 25-year-old used include a rubber arm prop, an alarm clock, a motor, and a tin box. Giertz loves to inspire people to build and learn about electronics. She studied technical physics for one year in Sweden and worked for a company where she got to make her own computerized products. Giertz is a techno-guru all young girls can look up to. She makes her tutorials easy to follow and very entertaining. Her latest invention may be a bit aggressive but I have a feeling this is just one of many prototypes until she perfects *The Wake-up Machine*.
