Its nickname is the *Festas de Povo*, or “People’s Festival” in Portuguese, and it’s one of the most gorgeous sights you’ll ever behold. Officially known as the Flowers Festival, and it’s the result of months of effort, crafting, and community volunteerism. Located in the largest Portuguese region of Alentejo, the Flowers Festival is a community effort that will take your breath away: thousands of paper flowers strewn about the town, in a celebration of life, color, and beauty.
