Waitomo Cave in New Zealand is a lesser-known tourist destination, but it might be one of the coolest that we’ve ever seen. What makes the cave so special? Well, it’s all about the walls. *Arachnocampa luminosa* is the official name for the endemic species of worm found in the cave, not found anywhere else in the world. You might recognize their more common moniker, the glow worm. Despite the darkness, the glow worms cover the walls of the cave and cause it to glow, resulting in some of the most amazing underground views that nature can make.
