Imagine if someone wrote you a love letter every single day of the year. At the end of that year, you’d be able to look back on those letters and remember all the adventures that those 365 days inspired. Curtis Wiklund did something of the sort for his wife, but instead of a love letter, he created a drawing for each day of the year. The illustrations depict the subtle moments of their lives, such as snuggling on the couch or enjoying a meal together. They also commemorate bigger moments, such as when they learned they were having a little boy. All together, the illustrations are a beautiful ode to this young couple’s love affair, and you can see some of the best ones below.

Last one! Post from 7/9/12, still doing this: “Tonight, my wife and I had a long list of things to get done. Instead, we sat on the couch, she read to me, I played guitar for a while, and then I drew a picture… in fact the first drawing on here since finishing the 365 project! In my opinion, these were all better alternatives than “the list”. And I like to let my feet float up in the air while lying on the couch. Don’t know why. Sometimes I do it with my hands too.” A photo posted by Curtis Wiklund (@curtiswiklund) on Nov 13, 2015 at 1:52pm PST
NOTE: This is not a pregnancy announcement… Unless you didn’t know that we were pregnant again, then it is. It’s a boy, our second! I’m just sharing that all the drawings of me and Jordin are now on our new website {link in profile}. (The drawings have been missing for a while.) The link is in the “about” page now, or just go here: www.curtiswiklundphoto.com/sketches A photo posted by Curtis Wiklund (@curtiswiklund) on Nov 5, 2014 at 6:33pm PST

I’ve received a recent influx of notifications via social media, and I haven’t been able to figure out why. Today I stumbled upon a post from mott.pe on Facebook (an art school in South America), sharing 20 of my sketches of me and Jordin. The post has like 30,000 likes, 13,000 shares, and a billion comments that I wish I could read! My Spanish is fairly basic. 🙂 If you’re just now finding these drawings via mott.pe, I’ve posted them all at http://drawings365.com There is a link on there to see just the drawings of me and Jordin too. Enjoy! I post drawings occasionally here on instagram too. I’ll post a few favorites right now, then back to photography! Thanks mott.pe! Also, as a side note, a Chinese client of ours recently told me that my drawings went viral in China. Haha! I don’t know how to see that, but she said it was huge, and in fact, how she found us as her photographers! A photo posted by Curtis Wiklund (@curtiswiklund) on Nov 13, 2015 at 1:41pm PST
