Seattle is known for being one of the cloudiest cities in America, and with the dark clouds comes plenty of light precipitation. In fact, Seattle averages 226 cloudy days per yer – that’s over two hundred days with serious rain potential. Instead of staying down in the dark, wet dumps, Seattle’s Peregrine Church has created something that might chase the city dwellers’ rainy day blues away. Hidden when dry, the images they’ve painted onto the sidewalk show up when the ground is wet. The intention is to brighten up Seattleite’s days, even when the sun is nowhere to be found.
