As the fall line-up of TV shows begin to air, there are new series and others returning that will entertain families in North America every night. Sitcoms are particularly favoured as they are family friendly where everyone can sit and watch them together. Of course some shows are superior then others. Either for their perfect comedic timing or because we see a version of ourselves and lives reflected in them. *Malcolm in the Middle* lasted six seasons from January 2000 till May 2006. Still, fans still hope for a reunion with their favourite dysfunctional family who happened to have a genius son in the mix. The biggest star to come out of the series of course is Bryan Cranston. Before he turned into the badass in Breaking Bad, Cranston played a very loveable and inept dad. Take a look at what one of America’s favourite TV family is up to now.Throughout its six-year run, the series won seven Emmy Awards, a Peabody Award, one Grammy Award. It was nominated seven times for the Golden Globes.

Malcolm has an IQ of 165 and attends class for gifted children. In the show, the character Malcolm breaks the fourth wall in that he speaks to the viewer.

He has a hard time fitting in and it doesn’t help that the regular kids call Malcolm and his genius friends the, “Krelboynes.”

Played by actor Erik Per Sullivan, Dewey is musically gifted but is placed in a class for slower students through a misunderstanding.

He is also fluent in Swedish and was an honour student.

In the show, Stevie is in a wheelchair and has difficulty breathing. His character was only written for one episode but he made such a good impression he was turned into a regular.

In the show, Lois is always trying to keep her rambunctious boys in line. She resents that her husband’s family and neighbours view them as “white trash.” Although Kaczmarek received seven Emmy nominations for her portrayal of Lois, she never won.

Hal’s character comes from a wealthy family. He is incapable of making a decision without the help and input of his wife Lois. After Malcolm in the Middle ended, Cranston landed the lead role in the critically acclaimed series Breaking Bad.

Leachman won two Emmy Awards for supporting actress in Malcolm in the Middle. She was the oldest contestant to ever compete on Dancing with the Stars in 2008.

After the show ended Higgins has been busy appearing in TV shows like Californication, American Horror Story, and Mike and Molly.
