At five months old, Roscoe was surrendered to the Asheville Humane Society. He was afflicted with an unusual and rare condition that caused his paws to curl at the wrists, which resulted in him losing the use of his legs.

At the [Asheville Humane Society][1], veterinarians realized that the tops of Roscoe’s paws were rubbed raw from his failed attempts at walking.
