The Google Maps team took its cameras to Churchill, Canada, also known as the Polar bear capital of the world, last October. With the help of the staff at [Polar Bears International](http://www.polarbearsinternational.org/) (PBI) and their tundra buggy, they captured 360-degree panoramas of polar bears in their cold, snowy habitat over a ten day period. PBI plans to use the Google images to teach school children about the bears and allow them to explore the animals in their natural environment.
