In 2012, Hurricane Isaac ripped through the south, leaving behind a lot of devastation in its wake. Homes were destroyed, roads collapsed, beaches eroded, and more than 40 people lost their lives. During disasters like these, not many people stop to think how the tragedy can effect local animals – especially if those animals aren’t necessarily pets. Luckily, one human was able to rescue this squirrel from an untimely death during the hurricane. She’s lived with him ever since – and has become Instagram famous in the process.
