[Joel Weber][1] is planning to graduate university debt-free. The 25-year-old is saving money on room and board by designing his own tiny home. Weber spent a year building his 145-square-foot house that is also mobile. He designed the home, spending $20,000 to build. A carpenter and electrician volunteered their services. “I saved up quite a bit and what I didn’t have, family, friends, and the community around me donated materials,” says Weber. The design major at the University of Texas hopes to build more simple living houses that are also sustainable. He seems to be on the right track.
