Monique Pool lives with 200 sloths. She came to the rescue of these creatures when their habit was being destroyed in Paramaribo, Suriname. Monique is the founder of [Green Heritage Fund Suriname](http://www.greenfundsuriname.org/). She temporarily houses sloths that have been displaced and eventually returns them to the wild. Many times the mother sloths need time to regain their strength before heading back to their forest home. She also cares for anteaters and porcupines.
