The beginning of winter means that we’re all breaking out our coats, hats, mittens, and scarves from storage — and one UK woman is making sure that the local abandoned dogs in her area have warm clothes, too. Her name is Jan Brown, and she has spent more than 4,000 hours knitting Christmas sweaters and other cuddly garments for canines, hoping that her efforts will lead to no abandoned dogs freezing to death in the frigid months ahead. Each sweater takes about 20 hours to make, and Brown has been working on this project for the last five years. It’s truly a labor of love, and by the looks of the animals below, you can tell they appreciate it.
