The circumstances of this story are a tough pill to swallow, but it’s got a very, very happy ending. In Cocoa, Florida, police officers made an emergency rescue of not one, not two, but *three* pit bulls that were trapped in a sewer. The police came to the rescue after hearing the dogs’ cries. Thankfully, they were able to remove the storm grate entirely and pull the dogs to safety. It’s unclear how long they were in there, and police are now faced with answering the troubling question of how they got there in the first place.
