Some of the world’s finest designs can be found in Japan, which is why so many seasoned designers look to it for inspiration. The new library at Seiki University is a perfect example. Constructed in 2006 as part of the university’s centennial, it’s by far the dreamiest place to get your work done. The five-story building with a glass façade provides plenty of natural light for students, but the main attraction is the set of five “planets,” or meeting rooms. Located on the third, fourth, and fifth floors, these meeting rooms will bring you to greater heights. Literally. If all study spaces were just as creatively designed, perhaps more of us would feel inspired to discover and discuss what we’ve found.
