When most of us think about Transylvania, we think of a dark and brooding place, the home of vampires and the most famous blood sucker of them all, Vlad the Impaler or Dracula. In actuality, nothing could be further from the truth. One photographer has made it his mission to capture the Transylvanian sunrise in a series of pictures that are absolutely brilliant. Every morning at 5:00 am, [Alex Robciuc][1] wakes up, grabs his camera and hikes up the Transylvanian mountains that surround his Romanian village of Maramures, Each photo is rich in detail and eloquently highlights the majestic beauty of sunrise in the picturesque countryside. Many of the photos look like paintings given the rich colours and intricate detail.
