President Trump Spends The Day Playing Golf While Threat Of Nuclear War With North Korea Looms. August 10, 2019

While he was a regular civilian, Donald Trump said presidents “don’t have time to take time off.” With just six months on the job as President of the United States, Trump has begun a 17-day vacation in his private golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey. While presidents of the free world do take vacation, Trump may be the first to do this early in his presidency.Although he is claiming he is “working hard” in New Jersey, he was photographed golfing. This is while North Korea increases its nuclear threat.

Mattis has warned that should Kim Jong-Un act on his threats it would “lead to the end of its regime and the destruction of its people.”

“The DPRK must choose to stop isolating itself and stand down its pursuit of nuclear weapons,” Mattis said. He added that the “regime’s actions will continue to be grossly overmatched by ours and would lose any arms race or conflict it initiates.”

The plan from North Korea is to fire four intermediate-range Hwasong-12 missiles that would fly over Japan, landing within 25 miles to Guam, according to their state media.

The population of Guam is just a little over 160,000, but it is a heavily equipped U.S. military base. Experts have called Kim’s supposedly plan attack a, “suicide” move.

He posted that the United States’s nuclear arsenal is “stronger and more powerful than ever before.” Trump added he hopes not to have to use it.

Guam is referred as the “tip of the spear.” It boasts of an Air Force, and U.S. Navy base. This is in addition to the U.S. having bases in Japan and South Korea.

Bombers have been flying around Kyushu in Japan, along the East China Sea, and the Korean peninsula. The U.S. release of their bomber photos is in response to North Korea’s threat to Guam.

The men and women are from South Dakota’s Ellsworth Air Force Base. Guam already has about 5,000 military personnel on the island at any given point.

“They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen,” Trump threatened. Tillerson defended Trump’s language saying the president wanted to be “clear with the North Korean regime on the U.S. unquestionable ability to defend itself, will defend itself and its allies, and I think it was important that he deliver that message to avoid any miscalculation on their part.”

Tillerson said Americans should not panic over Trump’s rhetoric. He added that North Korea does not pose an imminent threat to the United States.

The Secretary of State assured Americans they can “sleep well at night.” The UN Security Council for their part have voted to sanction North Korea.

The state media accused the U.S. of “trying to drive the situation of the Korean peninsula to the brink of nuclear war.”

The plan for North Korea is to “put into practice in a multi-current and consecutive way any moment.” Why Kim would take such a huge risk to strike Guam is still unknown.

According to North Korea, their rockets are expected to travel and reach their destination within “1,065 seconds before hitting the waters 30 to 40 kilometers away from Guam.”

Spain had control of the island until 1898 after the Spanish-American War. It was captured by Japan after the attack of Pearl Harbor in 1941 before being returned to the United States.

“We keep closely watching the speech and behavior of the U.S.,” their media reports.

The president knew he would be asked about North Korea but his “fire and fury” were not words that were planned beforehand.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House press secretary said “The tone and strength of the message were discussed beforehand.” Nonetheless, the words he used “were his own.”

His counselor Kellyanne Conway, Tom Price the Secretary of Health and Human Services, and Richard Baum from the National Drug Control Policy Center were also in attendance.

Trump took to Twitter to express his feelings about this Asian nation. At this point, North Korea had not threatened to bomb Guam.

He accused Kim of being incapable of understanding, “diplomatic language.”

The report said the country had developed a miniaturized warhead. The weapon is designed to attach itself to intercontinental ballistic missiles.

He said the rhetoric can only be interpreted as a threat to North Korea.

She appeared on Fox News to say state that North Korea is the biggest issue facing the United States currently. Nonetheless, she said the U.S. is ready to handle it.

Kim said he would take “physical action” against the United States. Despite the growing threat, there are no plans for Trump to cancel his vacation and return to the White House.
