There isn’t enough parakeet love out there, but that will soon change as more and more people are introduced to the Famjam YouTube! In this playful flock, you’ll find two Indian ringneck parakeets, Fabio, 2 years old, and Gabriel, 1 year young! The pair is taken care of by 23-year-old bird mom, Ashley. Their particular breed has a lifespan of 25-30 years and is known for being charming, smart, active, and as you’ll find in the video below, very affectionate. They’ve been kept as pets as early as 200 B.C. and have been regarded as sacred because of their beautiful colors and expert mimicry of the human language. If you’re thinking of getting one, just remember that these birds go through a bluffing phase in which they may exhibit aggressive and rebellious behavior.
