There is no question about it, Brigit is a criminal. She may be a cat but that has not stopped her from spending her nights stealing the neighbourhoods’ socks and male underwear in Hamilton, New Zealand. Her owner Sarah Nathan, says the six-year-old kitten surprises her every morning with her new loot. “It’s an absolute obsession. A night does not go by without her bringing things home. I got up this morning and there were another four socks in the house,” says Nathan. The kleptomaniac has stolen in the past, but this time she is focusing her energy on male underwear for no apparent reason. The family will soon be moving to the country, although not before posting notes on the neighbours’ mailboxes to return the stolen items. Brigit is the definition of a cat burglar.
