Isam Saed is the owner of Middle Eastern Bakery and Deli where it boasts that “when you’re here, you’re family.” Saed is known for making his customers smile and laugh while serving the sweet, honey dipped baklavas and delicious and flavourful lamb kebabs, fresh hummus, and rice pilaf. Unfortunately, the shop has had two cases of vandalism since the election. Saed who has two degrees, physics and chemistry, and taught high school in Israel, does not have the funds to repair the damage. The glass windows were cracked after a big rock was thrown at it, also fracturing the beam panel in the middle. Rather than be deterred by it, Saed just keeps on serving his delicious middle eastern food to his loyal clientele. One such customer is Marnee Burrus who took to Facebook to ask family and friends to visit the store to show their support.
