Being unique in this day and age is something to be celebrated. Being unique for a young individual, however, can be difficult to grasp and learn to appreciate. Carter Blanchard is an 8-year-old boy with a rare skin disorder known as vitiligo. His mother, Stephanie Adcock, said his face was transforming very quickly. He hated the way he looked as he was “different” from everyone else. That is, until one day he met a special friend with the same skin condition he has. The unexpected friendship is something too beautiful to not share.
