When I was a kid, I wanted nothing more than to be able to expertly climb up the largest slide in the playground, just like my friends. Unfortunately, my lack of coordination and control over my awkward limbs wouldn’t let it be so: Sometimes, I’d almost make it to the top, only to go sliding back down to the bottom, my heart heavy with defeat.
