BBC One has a new show called *Wild At Heart* that centers around animals and their everyday life. With the help of x-ray photography, we will be introduced to the anatomy of various animals. In the first episode, the show features an adorable hamster stuffing his mouth with a significant amount of food. The video shows us how the hamsters cheeks are structured. According to researchers, hamsters are capable of carrying half their body weight in their cheek pouches. When fully loaded, their cheeks extend all the way to their hips. This allows them them store an excess amount of food sort of like having a full grocery bag that’s always available. The full hamster episode will air on BBC One on Wednesday, January 21st.
