In order to maintain their PG rating, family movies have to try pretty hard to keep all of the dialogue under the PG umbrella. But when there’s moments of tension in the film, you’d be surprised to realize how hard it is not to curse: Sometimes, you’ve got to get creative. From Napoleon Dynamit to Star Wars to Spy Kids, these PG movies all replaced the common curse words found in PG-13 and R movies with “curses” that are slightly less offensive but still pack a lot of punch.
