Every person in the world deserves to live, dress and believe the way that they want to. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there who feel that they have the right to tell others what to do and how to believe. And a lot of those people are the liberals and Democrats in this country. Since Trump became president, his supporters are being attacked constantly for supporting the president of the country.

Maddie Mueller, a senior at Clovis North High School, was denied of her request to wear a MAGA hat to support the conservative activist group that she’s a part of called the Valley Patriots. She was also denied the right to wear a hat that supported the president, even though it bore the school colors. Mueller believes that the school’s choice to ban her hat is an infringement on her First Amendment rights. In an interview, Mueller questioned how “being a patriot in trying to show pride in your country” could be considered “inappropriate.”

The school has maintained that their decision was based on the fact that it was a hat that the high school student wanted to wear. “It’s unfortunate that our dress code is being misrepresented as specifically singling out a MAGA hat as that is not what the policy says,” said Chief Communication Officer Kelly Avants. “The district dress code allows for students to wear shirts or other clothing with a wide variety of sayings and/or political commentary. Unless causing an actual disruption on campus, MAGA apparel is acceptable, and this has been shared with the student.” Despite the school’s claims, Mueller has stated that she had received the same kind of treatment when she wore a shirt that supported the construction of the southern border wall.

An 81-year-old man was doing a bit of grocery shopping in New Jersey when he was assaulted for wearing his MAGA hat. Apparently, as the man was doing his shopping, he was attacked and received minor injuries for proudly representing the President of the United States.

An employee at a Vans shoe store in Overland Park, Kansas was fired for verbally attacking a 14-year-old child. As the teenager was shopping in the store, the unidentified employee apparently said “f–k you” to the teen. The teen’s mother immediately stood up to defend her son. “He did nothing to you — what did you say to my son? To my 14-year-old son?” The employee responded by saying “I’m sure he’s heard it before.”

The teen’s mother was obviously upset by the way her son was being treated. “My son walked into this store. That gentleman [appearing to point at the employee] cursed and told him, ‘Take off your hat. He said nothing to him, a 14-year-old child, then he said, ‘F you’ to my son. My son said nothing to him, did nothing.” In a statement released by Vans, they confirmed that the employee no longer worked for the company. “The actions and comments from one employee in our Oak Park location are in contrast with our company’s values and belief in personal expression,” the statement continued.

Rosaine Santos, a 41-year-old immigrant from Brazil, was at a Mexican restaurant in Cape Cod when she assaulted a man who was wearing a MAGA hat. According to police, the woman was upset that the man, Bryton Turner, had the nerve to wear that type of hat in a Mexican restaurant. Turner, who was minding his own business, became annoyed by the woman’s harassment, so he took out his phone to record her. “That’s the problem – the problem with America these days, people are just ignorant,” he said in the video.

When the police arrived at the restaurant, Santos told them that Turner shouldn’t be allowed to eat in a Mexican restaurant while wearing the “offensive” hat because of Trump’s support of the Mexico-border wall. Before police escorted Santos out of the restaurant, she made sure to take another swipe at Turner. “I had a little bit to drink maybe that’s the reason that I couldn’t walk away but being discriminated for so many times in my life, I just had to stand up for myself. He’s not a victim. I am the victim. I have been bullied, OK?” said Santos. Rosaine ended up being arrested and is being held for deportation by authorities for being an illegal immigrant.

Johnathan Sparks was walking in downtown Tucson, Arizona when he was attacked for wearing his MAGA hat. “I felt a very strong grasp on my hat. It pulled me back and grabbed a lot of hair. The assailant jumped onto my ankle from behind and so I, not knowing my ankle was broken into four pieces, I turned around to grab and take the hat back Then I heard the words Hitler, Nazi and Trump. He was shouting things like that. He came over the top of me and over and over again, he hit me,” explained Sparks.

People in the area ran over to pull the assailant off of Sparks and held them on the ground until police arrived. Sparks spent 20 hours in the hospital and went home to recover from foot surgery. The unidentified attacker was arrested for assault. Sparks believes that he wouldn’t have been attacked if he was carrying “a rainbow sign, or I was a black guy which then, I think there would be a sea of reporters here.”
