A man found a wild wolf stuck in an icy creek so he called the [Monte Adone Centre](http://www.centrotutelafauna.org/). Volunteers acted quickly to get the nearly dead animal from the water. After examination they found he was undernourished, paralyzed in his hind legs, and had 35 lead pellets lodged throughout his body. After two weeks of intensive care, the wolf was finally able to walk. Then he was transferred to another a rehabilitation center to fully recover before they could release him back into the wild. The volunteers named him Navarre.
