Every human has obstacles that we need to work through. Whether it’s money issues, or addiction issues, we all have things that we need to overcome. When we see someone conquer their demons, we can’t help but feel inspired. This woman’s story is nothing short of miraculous. Keep reading to find how she woke up one day and had enough of her life, so she did something extremely drastic to change it.Sandi has spent most of her life being overweight due to a food addiction. “I used to be the girl that didn’t leave her house because i hated how much weight I had gained. I was embarrassed. It hurt to walk, clothes didn’t fit me, always in doctor offices, and the list goes on,” said Sandi.

“When I stepped on the scale and saw I was over 400 pounds I knew I needed to change or I was going to die,” she explained. Sandi decided to take charge and began to research ways to lose weight in a healthy manner.

Not only was she overweight, but she also was suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome, thyroid disease, depression, and anxiety. Sandi decided that watching her calories and taking short walks was the best way to start out.

“When I started my weight-loss journey I knew this time things were going to be different this time I wasn’t going to give up. I didn’t care how many times that I was going to fall down I was going to stand back up and keep going,” she explained. Sandi and her doctor agreed that it was best for Sandi to get the gastric sleeve surgery. On July 11, 2016, Sandi went in for the surgery.

She knew that she had to continue eating healthy in order to see the results she wanted. Sandi began to prep all of her meals, making sure that she had enough healthy food for those days that life got to be too crazy.

Soon enough, she was watching the weight just melt away. She couldn’t be more proud of her results.

She focused on her food addiction and the binge eating that she had been dealing with for years. Sandi was finally working through the demons that plagued her.

After two years of continuous effort, Sandi has lost 240 pounds. She no longer wears a size 5x. In fact, she wears a woman’s medium now and looks absolutely amazing! And she feels amazing, too! Sandi is proud of the progress she’s made (and who wouldn’t be?), so she’s decided to share her progress with others, in hopes of inspiring them to do the same.

“If I could tell you about anything about weight loss it’s 80% diet and 20% working out. You can’t outrun a bad diet. Since day one of my weight-loss journey I have started tracking all my calorie intake and working out daily,” explains Sandi.

“Self-love is really hard to have. I still struggle with it. I’m down over 200 pounds and still finding things I wish I could change about myself. But one thing I can tell you is I’m happy I started my weight loss journey. I’m more happy and comfortable now…At the end of the day, I love my body, loose skin, and all.”
