Dogs may be known as man’s best friend, but who’s their best friend? Well, believe it or not, it’s a brick. It sounds pawsitively insane, but it’s true, at least, for one dog it is. It turns out that one rescue dog was in desperate need of some bonding, and he decided that what he would bond with wasn’t going to be something biological; it was going to be an inanimate object. And you thought having an imaginary friend growing up was wild. Now the whole world is learning about this pooch’s unique attachment to a brick as the dog’s owner, Ariana Smoak, documents the loving(?) relationship.Ariana has had the pleasure of experiencing love like no other thanks to her beloved pet, and the two are as happy as can be together. But Sunny isn’t limiting his options of friends to his lovely human companion.

The pooches were full of fleas, and their mother wasn’t doing much better either. She had a skin condition and was missing a couple of teeth too. So, Ariana and her family decided to look after the entire family.

It sounds silly, but it’s true. Ariana decided to share a couple of photos of her dog snuggling up to his BFF in the whole wide world. Unfortunately, the brick isn’t much of a talker, but the puppy doesn’t mind. He just wants his brick close by.

Since Sunny was small, he not only would lie next to the brick, but he would chew on it, and kiss it too. But she claims that he seems to be the only one interested in the brick. The other dogs don’t seem to care one way or another about the non-living object.

But try to separate Sunny from his brick friend and you would be deluding yourself. They’re as inseparable as any other friendship. They’re essentially cuddle buddies, and Sunny doesn’t have to know that this is a one-sided friendship.

Ariana wanted to share this touching story because she felt that it was important to remind people of just how important it is to spay and neuter pets, because there are too many animals out there who are roaming the streets who don’t have the luxury of having a human like Ariana or a brick.
