Every time I hear the Louis Armstrong classic, “What a Wonderful World,” it brings a tear to my eye. It’s about finding beauty in the world around you, and there’s just something about the simplicity of the lyrics that makes it tremendously heartfelt. That might be why the musicians at 92 keys decided to use it for their latest project, which is a magnificent cover of the classic tune using only a violin and a piano. Here’s what they had to say about it on their YouTube page: > Music can be as simple or as complex as you want it to be. And I imagine that when Louis Armstrong sat down to record a song about this supposed Wonderful World, he wasn’t looking for the complex. In spite of everything that was happening in the 60’s, including the Vietnam War and a fight for civil rights, he was somehow able to craft something simple that broke through that. And he was able to do it in a two minute song that will be remembered forever. See the amazing cover below.
