Sculpture artist Spencer Byles devoted an entire year exploring nature and creating beautiful art in the French forests of La Colle Sur Loup, Villeneuve Loubet and Mougins. Byles used only natural materials and items that he found in the forest. When he finished the project in 2013, he kept it a secret and didn’t reveal the location. Byles left the suspended symbols and woven branch structures as a surprise for others to stumble upon and wonder if the mysterious art formations were naturally occurring or created by human hands. The artist says,”The temporary nature of my sculptures is an important aspect of my experiences and understanding. I feel my sculptures are only really completed when nature begins to take hold again and gradually weave its way back into the materials. At this point it slowly becomes part of nature again and less a part of me.” You can see more of Byle’s work on [Facebook][1] and his [website][2].
