Maybe it’s something in the water on Saturna Island in British Columbia as it is a favorite hang out spot for orca whales. Pods travel through the island daily during the summer months, making it a tourist destination for whale watchers. For a group of sightseers on one particular day, the blackfish were feeling extra friendly. The whales got close to the shore, swimming in and out of the water in an almost perfectly straight line. Those people close to the water probably felt the mammal’s water spouting from it’s blowhole, a priceless experience.
