Bristles fray and weaken which allows for the bacteria in the mouth to build up since it’s not longer effective.

Choosing the right toothbrush and toothpaste are equally important. Buy one based on your need like sensitive teeth, fluoride, and tooth whitening, are just some of the options.

While some people spend five to ten minutes brushing, others barely spend two minutes. The important thing is to divide your mouth in four parts and contribute 40-50 seconds on each of them. Therefore, the total time for brushing should be two to three minutes.

You don’t always have to start at the same spot. By the time you reach the end point, you might be a little bored and won’t spend as much time in the new area. It’s best to change where you start every time.

Hold your brush at a 45-degree angle to your gums and move it in an up and down motion. Remember to reach the areas that are hard to brush.

Hard bristles can wear down your enamel. A soft bristle brush will remove the bacteria without damaging your pearly whites.

A clean mouth includes you gums, teeth, and the tongue. Cleaning this muscle removes residual bacteria in the mouth while preventing bad breath.

The need of white teeth is natural and understandable, but over doing it won’t help you in attainting them. Just brush them twice a day and that would be enough.
